I assume things will be somewhat different though from the film before the season is over in order to keep the story going since the series was recently renewed for another season after this one. What I like about the show is that it follows the original story religiously, but goes into way more detail than it did in the film. 5 episodes in the series and each one has been nostalgic of the film. The show has proved to be successful with his adapting the film to television. The difference though between the last couple films and this series, is that Robert Rodriguez(the guy who created/directed original film) is the helmer of this series rather than someone else. This is also because they attempted to do several other films afterwards that were all flops. I was very apprehensive about checking out the From Dusk Till Dawn the Series, because I really liked the original film and felt that the show wouldn't do justice. If S3 isn't the final season it is certainly, at least, my final season of watching From Dusk Till Dawn. The plot in Season 3 is a bit more focused that S2, but that doesn't say much, plus it is focused on supernatural, style- over-substance nonsense. Unfortunately Eiza Gonzalez doesn't really have much screen time in Season 3, appearing briefly early on and then for the final two episodes. Right then the only reason to continue watching was Eiza Gonzalez. Season 2 tried to do something different, but in doing so lost focus and just ending up going in random, pointless directions. Becomes more a plain old action movie, with weird creatures. Then, from a certain point it becomes a vampire/monster-drama and loses its edge. While it was a crime-drama it was great: gritty, edgy and entertaining. There they end up at a bar where not everything is at it would seem. They kidnap a man and his two children and cross the border into Mexico. Two criminal brothers, Richie and Seth Gecko, are on the run from the law in Texas. That was written by Quentin Tarantino and directed by Robert Rodriguez. A series-length adaptation of the movie of the same name. It will certainly be interesting for fans to see the veteran character actor put his signature stamp on a part played convincingly by Harvey Keitel in the original film.(Updated after Season 3). With the series using the same characters and storyline, fans of the original gorefest will undoubtedly be focused on the new cast of actors, namely Patrick, who takes on the role of Jacob Fuller, a mild-mannered former pastor who transforms into a vampire slayer with his family in danger. Since the film's narrative was pretty thin - albeit a ton of fun - to begin with, there will likely be a significant amount of material added to create 10 hour-long episodes. The story - which will play out over a 10-episode first season - will also be exactly the same, but will expand on the Mesoamerican mythology behind the vampires and provide more detailed backgrounds on the main characters. Considering the series is being written, produced and directed by Rodriguez, it comes as no surprise that the characters and their names remain unchanged from the film version.
